Manhattan’s elite Collegiate School set up a special task force and spent three years debating its “Dutchman’’ mascot and motto — then issued a 400-page report that’s a lesson in wokeness-run-amok, critics say.
The Herculean effort at PC reform led the $60,000-a-year Upper West Side school to not only drastically alter its playful, winking mascot image — but also toss “God” from its motto and even “A.D.” from its seal, deeming both potentially offensive.

This is not a public school.
If parents don’t like this B$, just pull their kids out of this school and demand the school refund any money paid this school year.
Four hundred pages?! My Gawd what a load of gobbledygook it must be. And that’s why they had to hire a Diversity, Inclusivity, and Equity chair too probably. To write the garbage.
At $60K a year they should be running from that school.
The Left took over the accreditation agencies for these schools and REQUIRE private schools (at least in NYC, but I think nationally, at least to some extent) to be just as woke as public schools.
And don’t get me wrong, the teachers and administrators pretty much love this crap (although I’m sure many don’t, being that they don’t have to hire the dregs of society to teach, as the public schools have to). But it doesn’t manner, nor do the protests of the parents, as the Left has these schools by the jugular. They must remain accredited or the kids don’t get into college.
So...just another case of our side sitting on our butts and only being interested in making money (not everyone, of course). The Left finds the choke points where they can force-multiply the most, and POUNCES. In this case, their running of the US Department of Education wouldn’t work to destroy these private school kids, so they figured out what would.
Reminds me of the Salvation Army Anti-White Manual put out in 2021. That crap had to have taken years to write.

They are called the Dutchmen because the school was originally Dutch and founded when New York was a Dutch colony. It is a boys school. The material, at least in math and science, is generally way above honors classes at regular public schools. People literally make 7 figure donations to get their kids into places like that. You may need to do that if you are not in the social register or have huge connections. Most graduates go to top colleges, but not at the same level as 20 or 70 years ago.
