People could go in and ask DMV to remove them from the donor program. Just sayin’.

No,that's not the way to do it.You're punishing those who need organs that way. The way to do it is stop donating to that hospital (assuming it's a non profit hospital) and let them know you're doing so.

I agree 100%. Remove your name from the donor list and you should then write a letter to the link below explaining what you have done.

On the other hand, I have to agree with the transplant centers for having this requirement. I say this as a person who spent three years on dialysis. I did not receive a transplant and am no longer on dialysis.

There are over 90,000 people in this country waiting for a kidney. The typical wait for a transplant is in the 5 to 8-year range without a live donor (even live donor transplants probably require both parties to be vaccinated).

I have not had a vaccination and have absolutely no intention of ever getting one either, While the vaccines were NOT approved for reducing the sickness if one catches covid, they do seem to have that effect. They have failed massively at prevention and hardly work at all for transplant patients for prevention due to immunosuppressants. By the way, when the geniuses announced the vaccine they never included immunosuppressed in their trials and did not tell those people they would gain no benefit (just one of the many lies told). Of course, there are other treatments that will lighten the load if you end up with the bug if taken within a few days of the virus symptoms.

While I agree that there are potential dangers associated with the vaccine, it will be a cold day in hell before you could convenience a transplant team of that.

It is a travesty but it is the golden rule. That is, he who has the gold makes the rules (or kidneys in this case)— especially with 90,000 people are in the queue.
