Family secret recipe for chili. Passed on down. It’s called “DFC”. Dads f***ing chili. Noone beats it and our friends flock to it whenever I make it. I don’t give up secrets either. It does have beans in it though.

This makes me want to go to a chili cook off. The weather is just right for it.

This summer on a trip we stopped for gas in Chugwater, WY. They bragged their chili as the best so my friend bought me an envelope as I liked my chili. Oh my goodness, it was delicious!!! Plus, it came together in minutes!!

Anyone tried this?

My chili is basically cleaning out the refrigerator and pantry of items close to their expiration dates, which should be like fingernails grating on a chalkboard to you people. The last batch used three MRE’s, much celery/carrots/onions, one can of black beans, freezer burned chuck steak, two cans regular and one hot Nalley’s chili, and seasonings.

That is probably the reason I end up eating most of it myself.

Go to Terlingua, enter it in the competition, The Big CASI Cook Off, and see what they think. You’ll find out if it’s any good.

the more chili powder, the better. And cumin. Leave it in the fridge overnight and reheat the next day. Yummm. I’m no cook by any means, but I can make a pot of chili.

Everyone seems to be off their game. There’s not one disparaging comment about Cincinnati Chili.

Make mine a Dixie 5 way with garlic. Who-Dey!

LOL I use McCormick’s mix and add some stuff to give it more taste.......we like it. Don’t have time to cook real chili.

I like chili both without beans or with dark kidney beans

And a hint of clove powder...

Tennessee is more bean chili than Texas

It’s like Texas beef bbq or Deep South pork bbq

I like both..

Felix or Acme

Good choice to make

A luxury problem to have like an old flame always said
