22 in a Remington 597... the subs just don’t work well.

The complaint has gone away because people aren’t fool enough to continue wasting money on Remington ammo. I, for one, will never buy it again; and, my misfires have dropped to zero.

“..My son swears by his 300 Blackout, subsonic...”

I’ve not shot it in a subsonic load.
I do, however, shoot it in a rifle running supersonic with a 125gr JHP. I love it; almost no recoil, a light .30cal bullet off an AR platform, and I find it fairly accurate out to about 100 yards or so.
Making my own cases from 5.56 was a little time-consuming, but once they were made, I use a brass catcher and reload em. I have had no issues with them whatsoever. Actually, the first firing of those home-made cases fire-forms em to the chamber contour even better as there is very little shoulder on these. IMHO, it’s a good tactical/larger varmint round.

Meanwhile, the Remington plant in Lonoke Arkansas is running full time, at top capacity, pumping out ammunition.

Not an issue with a bolt or lever action rifle or revolver handgun.

The ejection problem is with not enough energy being generated by subsonic to complete the reload. These are best used with bolt action.

Lots of semi-auto firearms handle subsonics just fine.

Some do not. It is firearm specific, and often depends on cleaning.

Nothing to dispel a rioting mob better than dropping a few of them the ones with megaphones from 200 meters away.

There.

Fixed...

Marktwain, Remington was making the 6122 target cartridge fro several years that worked with my IZ-36 Ruusian competition target gun very well, with best shot grouping.

I think The were kept from making it for a few years because of destruction in its plant.

Have they Set up to make it again? I really want that item for my training on competion again.

Where can I find the information on this bullet?

The problem I have seen is that by the time you couple the recoil force needed to push back the slide and the added mass of the suppressor can added to the barrel, FTEs can happen, especially if you’re talking steel slides vs aluminum or something. I have 2 Beretta Model 87s and a Sig Sauer Mosquito Camo 22 that I use with my 22 suppressor and they are a little touchy wrt ammo used.

IMO, Thunderbolt is cheap, dirty trashy ammo.

I’m surprised (not) the LEFT isn’t making suppressors mandatory! You would think they would follow all the OSHA (lefty) guidelines for sound and noise making it a law to surpress unnecessary noise.

Will they be gummy like the “Golden Bullet” by Remington? For now i will stick with Fiocchi that my suppressors love...

Thunderbolt is filthy. I found Remington’s Golden Bullets to be the most accurate bulk .22, and it’s a lot cleaner.
