so is beer. Should that be criminalized too?

"It's a gateway drug...despite what anyone might claim."

I think somebody wrote a book to demonstrate that point. As for me, and it may just be a coincidence, but it seemed to me that within a year or two of legalizing marijuana, our area saw a sharp increase in homelessness, vagrancy, litter, and general decline in the quality of public space. I think the idea that "it's legal, so it must be ok" leads to more use by more people who shouldn't be using it. People with psychological vulnerabilities are derailed.

“It’s a gateway drug...despite what anyone might claim. “

So are beer and cigarettes.

Anything can be a gateway drug to the weak minded. I’ve been smoking pot for 45 years and it’s not been a gateway drug to other drugs for me. Also I know plenty of others for whom the same is true.

I will assume that you’ve likely never smoked pot but are an absolute expert about it’s effects.

I got a neighbor who is on it. Been on it since before it became legal.
He came over a couple months ago and stoked up in front of me on my property. He made a forced exit.
I wont allow him on my property ever again. The man is one weird freak. Sits in his house with a spotting scope watching all the neighbors around. Deserts dont have many trees and things to block the line of site. My other neighbor called the cops on him for being a peeping tom. I never got the story on that one, they wont tell us.

BTW, I have a brother who passed away last march from liver failure. Had to have that brandy every day from the time he got up till he passed out at night. I tell you this. It was not the way to go.

I have COPD and never so much as smoked one thing. EVER. But was around folks who smoked like chimneys.

So is beer. So is tobacco. More so than pot. Yet, I can walk down the street and buy that all day long.

It’s a weed that grows along dirt roads on this continent.
