Neil Young was the most talented member of CSN&Y. Start with the album ‘Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere’ and go through ‘Live Rust’, and tell me which member(s) of CSN came close to the quantity and quality of the work Young did during that period.
Not saying Crosby, Stills, Nash weren’t talented, they definitely were, but they didn’t have the consistency and shear output that Young did.
As far as Young’s beliefs, why does he think anyone cares? (Shut up and play, you hoser).

As a musician friend of mine once said “That guy injures music” Why does your friend think that ? What genre(s) of music does he practice?
Neil Young complemented and improved these bands. He was better with a band. - Buffalo Springfield
- Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young
- Neil Young and Crazy Horse
Lots of bootlegs out there; maybe it’s just that Bill Graham brought the best talent to both Fillmores, but I like this live recording. Google “Neil Young - Cowgirl In The Sand LIVE ‘70” and listen to Neil trading guitar riffs with Danny Whitten, but every band played up for Bill Graham, especially at Fillmore East.

I used to really enjoy Young’s music, but like Springsteen, he has ruined my ability to even listen to it anymore.

Yes, Neil’s song but best with the band; prefer that version; song is so good even The Carpenters covered it in 1969.

There’s a reason why they should shut up and sing. a.k.a. Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt
