You know Rand Paul probably sang this in his head … lol.
Full transparency, in this editor’s mind Neil Young has never really been all that relevant so the entire argument and news cycle has seemed silly. Aging, whiny musician attacks youngish, relevant podcaster for saying things he doesn’t like. This is truly the epitome of the old man yelling at kids to get off his lawn.
Rand’s take was great:
@RandPaul
Bye Bye, Hey Hey
Neil Young is gone today
It’s better to boycott
Than to just obey
Bye Bye, Hey Hey
Seeya @Neilyoung
Even though Ohio is one of the greatest protest songs of all time, free speech is kinda important also

Yes, me too.
Here's Buffalo Springfield's version.
Neil Young was the most talented member of CSN&Y. Start with the album ‘Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere’ and go through ‘Live Rust’, and tell me which member(s) of CSN came close to the quantity and quality of the work Young did during that period.
Not saying Crosby, Stills, Nash weren’t talented, they definitely were, but they didn’t have the consistency and shear output that Young did.
As far as Young’s beliefs, why does he think anyone cares? (Shut up and play, you hoser).
this Old Man hasn’t yet seen the Needle and the Damage Done
I used to really enjoy Young’s music, but like Springsteen, he has ruined my ability to even listen to it anymore.
Yes, Neil’s song but best with the band; prefer that version; song is so good even The Carpenters covered it in 1969.
Off spotify today, tomorrow ITunes, next day every radio station in the US, day after that off the planet.
Spotify don’t need him around anyhow
There’s a reason why they should shut up and sing. a.k.a. Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt
That was Neil Diamond.
Love it!
