Rural Missouri, kids went back to school Fall of 2020, no masks, no distancing, no plastic cubicles. They did end up sending all of 8th grade home for a week for an outbreak among them. That was it. Adults ditched masks in late Spring 2020 when it got warm and sweaty under them.
When this farce first started in 2020, we were driving past the county offices and some folks were headed to the school board district offices there carrying signs that read “DON’T KILL US!” We assumed they were local indoctrinators from the local indoc centers. We have never had any kids in the schools where we live but dutifully pay for the miseducation through our property taxes every year. A LOT!

My CA teen in her private high school is masked 7 hours a day, while I only wear a mask in the doctor’s office.
My other CA young adult child who opted for Cal State is also masked 7 hours a day, including in his own dorm hallways. He’s also vaxxed, boosted, and tested.
It’s long past time to go “mask optional.”
It’s sooooooo easy for her to virtue signal - up until the point it personally inconveniences her own life
