That’s the tip of the iceberg, and spread over half a century. The number of American adults opting out of parenting is frightening; I understand it, and it is their choice, but these are the consequences.

My town years ago put in soccer fields for the “replacement Americans” and a dog park for the Americans; as our “Main Street” businesses disappear they are replaced with taquerias for the replacement Americans and pet food stores (”bakeries”) for the Americans. This change is rapid and won’t alter course.

Years ago I met a man whose entire family, over a dozen members when they set out, walked across Cambodia to the Thai border to escape the Khmer Rouge.

Only 3 of them made it and the gentleman I knew lost a piece of his leg to a mine that was laid at the border.
