That movie should be mandatory viewing, especially in high school and college, to rid the kids of any starry-eyed romanticism about socialism/communism.
(It wouldn’t hurt to have a few eyewitnesses to these horrors testify as well.)

Years ago I met a man whose entire family, over a dozen members when they set out, walked across Cambodia to the Thai border to escape the Khmer Rouge.
Only 3 of them made it and the gentleman I knew lost a piece of his leg to a mine that was laid at the border.
