I was the biggest Keith Moon fan in the world when he died..
Kenny was probably the best drummer they ever had. He wasn’t Keith Moon, who had been perfect for THAT band, but Kenny brought them exactly what they needed - WHEN they needed it most.
There’s some video out there of Kenny just bashing around on his drums at home. He still is a monster drummer!
I’m a Moon guy too. But Kenny was who they needed then. And for crying out loud, take Kenny out of Eminence Front and it sucks. Same with The Quiet One, Cry if you Want, and the 1982 live version of Magic Bus.
