Stories like this are how the world ends, Fauci and his band of Dr. Evil Scientists engineer some exotic disease, transport the infected monkeys in a truck that wrecks and one of the first humans on the scene instead of calling for help tries to pet the monkeys.
Next thing you know we have a “Planet of the Apes” situation.
Seriously, you would think in this type of situation with a pandemic raging, the CDC would immediately come out with all the pertinent information about these monkeys instead they are tightening everything down trying to hide information which makes things worse.
I agree yes, it’s ultimately the authorities responsibility. They should be aware of Peters Principle and that the first people arriving on a ]n accident scene would likely not be the brightest crayons in the box.
