The NFL should go back to the old rule. The “if a FG the other team gets a turn” thing is silly. Pure sudden death. This isn’t baseball, defense can score. And defense can make a stop. Scrimmages are a terrible way to decide a playoff game.
The old rule was first team to score of any kind wins. The current rule limits that a bit at least.
Nah, just do soccer and make it a FG contest.
5 kicks for each team. First one is from 40 yards out, and add 5 yards for each kick in subsequent rounds.
Yeah, I know while it’s not to best way to resolve a game, as with soccer, but you can’t beat the drama of it, just the same.
And you can bet that Kickers are going to be worth a lot more, LOL!
