I lived in SoCal for almost 10 years. OMG. Having been raised in VERY rural western NYS, it was a culture shock.

The first time I went to the local mall, “The Oaks”, they had valet parking! The panhandlers out front were drinking Evian! And that was just Week One. Oy!

I was born in San Diego, but was raised in Mississippi, Alabama and Florida.

I served there in the Marine Corps in the early 70’s, when it was still beautiful and sane, for the most part. Rode my motorcycle all over SoCal, Big Bear, Salton Sea, Palm Springs, San Diego, Tijuana.

The key word is “local”. A few miles away and the “climate” is whatever nature makes it.

Earth’s climate is the result of the sun, land mass, bodies of water, the rotation of the planet and to a small degree volcanic eruptions.

Man can control the climate within buildings (at a cost, the larger the building, the larger is the cost). I can not imagine what the cost would be if they decided to cool the Central Valley in the summer time let alone control the entire earth’s climate.

The bottom line is that environmentalism is nothing more then a back door to communism (government control of everything). Ironic to think the most communist country in the world, China, is the most environmental unfriendly that exist.
