We moved to Lewis Co. TN, Dec. 2016, from Mercer Co. IL. But I’ve been buying used vehicles from south of the I40 since 2002. If I can’t have proof of where a used vehicle has been registered, I keep looking.
Iirc, six years ago I saw an 06 4runner online in Franklin, TN, that met all my specs (esp the low 80k miles for a 9 yr old suv), except for Carfax showed it had spent over 7 yrs in a suburb of Chicago (Naperville). Salt and big city stop and go driving ruled it out.
