Or cover their receivers.
That was on the coaching staff. Another example of a prevent defence, preventing you from winning he game.
For every time out add at least 5 seconds.
13 seconds with 3 time outs is the equivalent to 28 seconds with no time outs. But the kicker is that with timeouts you can throw down the middle of the field, can’t do that with no time outs.
If I were Buffalo I would have blitzed, one sack it’s game over.
And that’s the rub with the overtime.
The justification for the current OT rule, and remember it used to be you only had to kick a FG to win, as opposed to score a TD, is that it’s about 50/50 as to whether or not the team winning the coin toss wins.
If you think about it, the team that gets the ball first, must score a TD to win, and most likely with a kickoff they’ll have to go 75 yards to do it.
If they go 3 and Out, then the other team most likely gets the ball at least on their 30 yard line, and would only have to go 30-40 yards to kick a winning FG, so that is the advantage of not winning the coin toss.
But we all knew last night, that neither defense was capable of stopping the other at that point.
At least do something other than what all teams do in these cases, allow receptions and pretend to not allow deep receptions or game winning receptions. I would have went man to man with a blitz like you say as it takes a while to shake the coverage and by then the QB isn't eyes down field as he's avoiding tacklers.
Romo even said you need to send in an extra pass rusher to force Mahomes to get rid of the ball quicker. Instead Mahomes had a clean pocket and was able to fire off two laser beam passes to setup the field goal.
Shirley and I were jest channeling Howard, but damn those guys are fast and exciting...
There is not a defense in the NFL that can contain Tyreek Hill.
That guy is insanely quick and talented. It is like he has another gear that nobody else has.
Both offenses played great but in the end it’s my opinion that he was the difference in the closing minutes. Incredible talent at the skill positions for KC.
Did he win?
Respect is earned, not given. Something Brady knows nothing about.
yeah....7 Super Bowls....most ever...
