I've been to the Waffle House a number of times. Never had a bad experience. Waitstaff are friendly and the other patrons minded their own business. The food was always excellent despite being super cheap. I always get eggs, bacon and grits with a few cups of black coffee.
I tip well there.

C’man man! To some men bacon is a very important and touchy subject. If it ain’t done right it can spoil your whole day! The cops prolly shoulda arrested the cook. They would have if they looked at the bacon.

I never cared for bacon. It started when I was quite young. Too salty.
My sister loved a Shakey’s Canadian and pinapple pizza and I was fine with that.
Jimmy Dean turkey breakfast sausage is okay too.

Didnt read the whole story. Did it say what time it was? Was it say....after 2am? If so...I know what Waffle Houses can get like esp on weekends after the watering holes close. Actually it can get rather entertaining. In my city here in Alabama, we have two WH diners (open 24hrs). I work night shift and occasionally I’d join coworkworkers for a bit at the WH. At 1-3am you can see some pretty sketchy stuff.
