Ever since she has “come back to the spotlight” it has been all about her! I’m so sick of Adele ads everywhere you turn...

Now, she’ll have another reason to be in the news...all the time!

They’re a great band. Our last concert before the shutdown was Donna Ulisse, I think, free at the Charlotte Folk Society.

It seems to be that most concerts venues are going this way.

My wife reminded me we saw them in a stone church on a gravel road off the Blue Ridge Parkway. I think they did 3 performances that day.

I never really understood the appeal of huge concerts. Sitting in a huge crowd, paying outrageous prices, being around drunk idiots. Not high on my list of priorities.

I believe you may be thinking of The Griffith Observatory. Offers a nice view of L.A. and The Hollywood Sign. :)

I agree with you. Convenience fee, service fee, Parking fee, poster fee, it’s ridiculous. I hope stubhub, TM and the other money grabbers lose on this one.

My wife & I bought tickets to go see Chicago when they were in our area. The original show was set for May 2020. It got reset 3 times. Each time they offered full refunds. Even right up to the night it finally happened in November of 2021. It was a great show. And, no jabs or masks required. And all the folks in attendance were old folks like us. Some even with walkers and scooters. But Chicago still rocked the house. The three remaining original members were amazing. Great show. And we had great seats and they were like $45 each.

I’ve seen them probably 3 times in the last 20 years, most recently about 5 years ago. They always did a real good show. Though I will say they had Earth Wind & Fire as a warm up one year, and they were even better! Amazing night.

Here’s a video I think from that tour, with the two bands doing 25 or 6 to 4 together. Probably the final encore song, or nearly so. Good stuff!

That’s part of it but I think it refers to an extended exclusive run of performances like a Broadway play. It’s offered to big artists who may have gotten tired of touring and its rigours. The artist instead resides in Vegas at the hotel where shows are held and everyone travels there instead of the artist touring to where everyone lives. You might say Wayne Newton started this by basically living in Vegas and becoming the King of Vegas by mostly performing just there. Yes he did tour on occasion but Vegas was home for him performance wise and literally.
