Conservatives on social media are blasting apparel manufacturer Carhartt and calling for a boycott of the company after it announced it would continue to mandate the coronavirus vaccine for employees even after President Biden’s mandate was blocked by the Supreme Court.

Carhartt, a popular brand with conservatives and outdoor enthusiasts, announced this week they will continue to mandate coronavirus vaccines for employees saying, "We put workplace safety at the very top of our priority list and the Supreme Court’s recent ruling doesn’t impact that core value."

Conservatives on social media immediately began calling for a boycott of the company in response to the announcement.

Today I wrote a letter to @GovRonDeSantis urging him to eliminate any and all state agency business & contracts with the woke company @Carhartt—which recently announced that they will be firing all unvaccinated workers. Florida must fight back against woke corporate tyranny. pic.twitter.com/nqD3QUuY0Y— Rep. Anthony Sabatini (@AnthonySabatini) January 19, 2022

The korporate Pfascists at Carhartt need to be run out of business. Let them move to Mexico where they run four factories.

There are plenty of competitors who don't support korporate Pfascism.

You really have to wonder how these corporate CEOs achieved success acting like flaming morons. They prove they have no situational or personal awareness when they see other companies crash due to dopey policies.

I’m retired now, so I’ve already got the last Carhartt outerwear I’ll ever need

Off brands I’ve had are also just as good. And a whole lot cheaper

Corporate upper management is a tribe, when a CEO moves to another corporation they move a lot of their allies with them and then their allies bring in their friends with them. They move in like grasshopper people searching for Financial gimmicks to boost quarterly profits and big bonuses and then they move on and let the workers deal with the devastation .

I don't believe in government mandates, but a business can make their own rules, even dumb rules. You never know the backstory either. Their company health insurance plan might be the power behind it, even if it's only a financial incentive on rates.

Is there any substitute for Carharrt? It sort of occupies a unique niche in the 21st Century.

I've seen this within large corporations--especially in middle management--people who at best contribute nothing, and at worst make a mess, focusing more on moving to their next role, trying to move on before their mess catches up with them. Those types cause so much damage, and yet it seems little is done to weed them out.

...but a business can make their own rules, even dumb rules.

Carhartt employees are just that, employees. Carhartt has no claim to adversely impacting their health off the clock.

Companies that attempt to force experimental treatments on employees need to be exposed, charged, and dissolved if necessary. Their behavior is no different than korporations who committed atrocities in Nazi Germany.

Forcing experimental treatment on individuals was specifically addressed in the permissible experiments section of the Nuremberg Code in 1947. (http://www.cirp.org/library/ethics/nuremberg/).

"The great weight of the evidence before us to effect that certain types of medical experiments on human beings, when kept within reasonably well-defined bounds, conform to the ethics of the medical profession generally. The protagonists of the practice of human experimentation justify their views on the basis that such experiments yield results for the good of society that are unprocurable by other methods or means of study. All agree, however, that certain basic principles must be observed in order to satisfy moral, ethical and legal concepts:"

"The voluntary consent of the human subject is absolutely essential. This means that the person involved should have legal capacity to give consent; should be so situated as to be able to exercise free power of choice, without the intervention of any element of force, fraud, deceit, duress, overreaching, or other ulterior form of constraint or coercion; and should have sufficient knowledge and comprehension of the elements of the subject matter involved as to enable him to make an understanding and enlightened decision."

"The duty and responsibility for ascertaining the quality of the consent rests upon each individual who initiates, directs, or engages in the experiment. It is a personal duty and responsibility which may not be delegated to another with impunity."

"The experiment should be so conducted as to avoid all unnecessary physical and mental suffering and injury."

"Proper preparations should be made and adequate facilities provided to protect the experimental subject against even remote possibilities of injury, disability or death."

"The experiment should be conducted only by scientifically qualified persons. The highest degree of skill and care should be required through all stages of the experiment of those who conduct or engage in the experiment."

"During the course of the experiment the human subject should be at liberty to bring the experiment to an end if he has reached the physical or mental state where continuation of the experiment seems to him to be impossible."

Reigning in tyrannical government is only part of the effort. Reigning in the korporations supporting such a tyrannical government is another.

As for substitutes for Carharrt, there are plenty and Carhartt's former customers are going to learn all about them over the next several weeks.

It would be interesting to learn the structure of their corporate governance, leadership, board of directors.

Have a slew of Leftists wormed their way in to the company and slowly started to destroy it.
