John 1 says in the Beginning was the Word
So no, there was never nothing
There was Something that was the information that modeled the universe. Springing From a dot of matter the size of the period at the end of this sentence.
George Gilder ( brilliant man) has written some beautiful theories on the origin of the Universe based on information theory, using clues from the Bible. Here is one discussion

G-d.
Thanks for the true laugh out loud moment. :)
Billy Preston said it best:
Nothin’ from nothin’ leaves nothin’
You gotta have somethin’ if you wanna be with me
Nothin’ from nothin’ leaves nothin’
You gotta have somethin’ if you wanna be with me
Sorry that reply did not have Gilder’s article. Linked below.
Gilder’s penultimate point? “Wherever there is information there is a preceding intelligence.”
The universe did not spring from chaos, but from an order assembled by a preexisting intelligence. Call it by what name you will. Information theory turned Gilder from a secular Darwinist to a believer in Intelligent Design,

George Gershwin also weighed in on it:
Oh, I got plenty o’ nuttin’
An’ nuttin’s plenty fo’ me
I got no car, got no mule, I got no misery
De folks wid plenty o’ plenty
Got a lock an dey door
‘Fraid somebody’s a-goin’ to rob ‘em
While dey’s out a-makin’ more
What for?
I got no lock an de door
Somebody had to make the Big Bang button and someone had to push it.
He didn’t come from anywhere ... He always was ...
Words, words and more words: someone actually pays “cosmologists” to come up with “theories” never to be proved or otherwise…
Then it exploded?
These self proclaimed geniuses are basing almost everything on ONE mesurement. Sure, they have other observations and computations that seem consistent
BUT
When you put ALL of your eggs in one basket, sometimes it all falls apart.
When the Webb telescope comes on line, do NOT be surprised if these collective fools try to hide then lie about observations that show that there are galaxies that are GREATER, MUCH GREATER than 14 BILLION years old. That Observation alone will PROVE the BIG BANG THEORY is just as idiotic as the psychopath who was behind the TV show by the same name.
It's similar to the gubermints now trying to hide and back off the vaxxxxxxines and the lies that made their virus mandates plausible.
There really are more idiots in this world than most would ever believe.
It takes ears to hear:
If one reads the Bible is says, “Then God...................”
God is. Remember learning the “is, was, will be” in elementary school? Wonder if they still teach that.
God is not nothing.
“How could something come from nothing”?
Just ask Slo Joe Bidet!
“The Big Bang happened shortly after the Big Dinner and a couple of drinks.”
Was she hot and easy!?
The “big bang” theory doesn’t answer two important questions: where did the matter come from? where did the energy come from to make it expand?
Ask the bible
Terence McKenna’s great quote on this:
“We are asked by science to believe that the entire universe sprang from nothingness, and at a single point and for no discernible reason. This notion is the limit case for credulity. In other words, if you can believe this, you can believe anything.”
Bottom line—science is based on magic!
“The “big bang” theory doesn’t answer two important questions: where did the matter come from? where did the energy come from to make it expand?”
We, as humans, are still fumbling along trying to make sense of it all. I believe our current state of tech used to describe/define this has taken a wrong turn. We have a long way to go.
“But where did the first of these universes come from? And why?”
While some have that answer settled in their mind through faith, it is a huge step out of the dark age to accept the possibility there could possibly be more than one. It would bring the debate up to a much higher level. And if we were seeded from others it would explain quite a bit of what we now question.
....still groping around for God, ain’t they...
No, the problem is trying to understand what God did during a prolonged creation process
