Cancer is really difficult to go through. First find out what kind of pain he is in. Dogs are so stoic and they love us so much they don’t want to let go. It’s up to you to figure it out. I know it’s hard, I’ve lost too many to cancer so believe me I do know.

There is a pet credit card that will help you at least pay for his chemo. You can pay it off over years. Ask your vet about it. But please, make sure it’s the best thing for your beloved dog and not just because you can’t let him go.

He’s in no pain at all.

I can barely contain him as the vet said to do.

He is a wimp about pain and not even a little stoic.

He stepped on a hard toy an hour ago and you’d have thought the world was ending.

If he was hurting, he’d let me know in all his glorious Shatner-esque scenery chewing.

Dogs are so stoic...

Had to laugh at that. My last dog would milk an old minor injury to her leg. One time that I got a little mad at her she sat down and held up her foot. I looked at her and said ”Wrong leg,” and she changed to the other one.
