For no good reason. In the old days, they would just over-charge for coordinated floor mats and adding FM Stereo to your radio.

I had to disable the alarm feature on mine. Every time I would bend over or move, the thing would go off honking the horn. I like the convenience of keyless ignition but it’s just something else to go wrong at an inopportune time.
