Now that's crazy. If you show up to work. Keep to yourself. And not say anything else. Other people will get the hint.
I’ve had all that helpful advice from the counselors who also think my situation is comedy gold. Also they want to give me lots of pills that will keep me from reacting to people threatening me when I’m just trying to work and so on. There was a developmentally disabled chick at one big complex where I worked who would threaten me on a regular basis and was always saying I was a prostitute. So funny! (Because if you complain about a retarded person, you’re MEAN.)
“Don’t talk to anyone!”
“Talk to everyone and make friends so they will know you and you might have some defense once these guys start hitting on you.”
“Why aren’t you married!? If you get married it will stop!”
“Tell people you’re married and wear a wedding ring!”
“Tell people you have a boyfriend even if you don’t!”
“You should work from home!”
“Why don’t you ever talk about your sex life? People don’t trust someone who isn’t honest!”
And then of course the ultimate in punchlines: “That’ll be $200, please!”
I saw a lawyer who encouraged me to file an EoC complaint once. She said, “It sounds like it’s really time for you to do this, Kristi.” I was very encouraged although I knew I was in for a long and difficult haul. I went home and prayed and so on.
Then she apparently called my work and informed them I was about to “do something” and I got fired the next day. That was the day I realized I was going to lose my home because there would be no way I would ever get caught up on my payments after that.

Haha, they show you a movie when you sign on to work for a temp agency that tells you to do ANYTHING BUT THAT. You should sit in the lunchroom and chat it up with people, apparently.
But maybe you should give me more advice. I love advice. It makes me smile and laugh and forget my troubles.
