If you eat a typical American diet and do not take daily supplements, yku will be deficient in many vitamins and minerals, by default.
When I would get the sniffles, I would take Vit C for a couple days...and a cold never developed. I haven’t had a cold in 40 years. I’m 77. Maybe I just had the sniffles??
Take some D too...
It’s apparently tough to OD.
I take C Dvand Zn daily along with famatodine

Thanks for posting this.
6-8 grams is more than I would have expeted.
I’ve been combatting Omicron for 8 days. Initial symptoms: Nasty headache, 100 fever, body aches to the bones, later just sinus crap. Nothing was kicking the persistent 100 fever (no, I haven’t any HCQ or IM). Did C, D, Quercitin/Zinc, no effect. Then the damned virus moved into my ear canal. I got some lysine and finally broke the cycle with 6000mg twice a day for 3 days, ending this afternoon and finally got some appetite back. Sinus rinse with Providone iodine seems to have begun correcting my plugged/ringing ears; I’ll know more tomorrow.
Damned frustrating, considering that I’m ‘recovered’. I guess this is my ‘booster’. Other than a single night of misery (forgot about tylenol), this was just a weeklong cold. I’ll take it.
Note for the covidiots: My vaxxed/boosted wife is travelling and developed symptoms at her hotel. Same symptoms.
And yeah: I worked all week. No one got sick. So much for that BS, too.
Vitamin D3 is another vitamin that has been shown to be below normal levels in Covid patients.
