When you give the "V for Victory" hand sign, if you place your hand facing one way, it means "Victory." But if you turn it the other way, it means, "Up your bum."

(A tidbit learned from "The Darkest Hour," a film about Churchill.)

When the young King Henry with a small band of brothers at Battle of Agincourt, (October 25, 1415), ....fought the combined French cavalry composed of armored Knights and accompanying mass of foot soldiers

The English archers with their long bows defeated the superior force.

Captured English soldiers had their index and second finger cut off by the French
