No. As someone who recently was the victim in an unprovoked road rage incident say NOTHING to the cops, absolutely nothing.
The idiot who claimed he was tailgating me said he was in fear for his life so that’s why he was chasing me into my employers parking lot( a hospital for God’s sake) and I had him arrested .
He screwed himself because he told the cops he attacked because he THOUGHT he was in fear for his life.
Say NOTHING until you speak to a lawyer.
Never answer questions you haven’t been asked, don’t provide any details. Let the cops do their job and let your lawyer do theirs.

Sort of agree, but it is important to establish early that you are the victim of a crime and that you had to defend yourself for fear of life. Just immediately asserting 5th amendment and clamming up is not helpful to your case, despite it being your right to do so.
Well, I’m not an attorney but I have had need on one or two in the distant past and trust me when I tell you they all told me, ‘’Keep your mouth shut’’.
