"Our study suggests that it wasn't the use of penicillin that drove the initial emergence of MRSA, it was a natural biological process. We think MRSA evolved in a battle for survival on the skin of hedgehogs, and subsequently spread to livestock and humans through direct contact."

Besides humans, armadillos are the only known animal to harbor the leprosy bacteria.

Believe it or not, scientists now believe that humans infected armadillos with leprosy in the last 1,000 years.

Humans do catch it now from armadillos, but apparently the disease is very easy cure, as long as it is detected in the early stages.

I got a couple of Sonic the Hedgehog pins from Sega. I was a FedEx dude back in the day, and Sega was just one of the businesses on my route. I think they had a basket of them sitting on their reception desk.

Yes, this was over 30 years ago.
