Condolences on the passing of your father. COVID takes many different paths depending on genetics and health. My wife learned that the "little girl" across the street that she enjoyed babysitting as a teen just died yesterday after weeks on a ventilator.

The claim that omicron is "mild" isn't panning out. It only needs ACE2 to gain entry, so the bronchial tubes often get it first. Many unvaxxed report a mild "cold". Double and triple vaxxed have been less fortunate with severe symptoms. Take it seriously. Treat it aggressively.
