IIRC, the NFL discontinued the program a while back. In order to save money...? And I’ll bet cutting liability risk had something to do with that decision, too...
The NFL has a 24 hour car service available to all players.
The NFL could also try hiring players with brains, good character, guys who love the game and not just the paycheck.
