A statement from the governor's office said the blast happened when a cart selling food items struck an old, unexploded mortar shell in the district of Lalopar, in eastern Nangarhar province.

The province has been a stronghold for the offshoot of ISIS known as ISIS-K, the terrorist group that claimed responsibility for last year's attack in Kabul that killed 13 U.S. service members and at least 170 Afghans.

Are the Taliban troops still too busy playing in Dodge Cars at the local circus instead of removing all those still buried bombs?

Children killed in Afghanistan?

Must be a Biden revenge operation.

They have 84 billion dollars worth of Uncle Sams military toys to play with. So their priorities aren’t the same as yours.

At least in the U.S., it’s only food prices going sky high.

I was siting in a mess hall in Korea when there was a explosion in the “vill” south of the main gate. We sent a couple of troops to take a look on what went on. They said that a Korean “junk-metal-cart man” had bought a US M15 antitank mine from some kids who had found it. He attempted to unscrew the fuse -—— wrong move!! What impressed the troops the most was that the entrails of the “cart man” were hanging from the electrical lines!

The “cart-man” must have missed the EOD class on M15 mines.

Total KIA’s:4 kids; 3 Mama-sans; 2 Papa-sans and 1 Cart-man.

As I see it Afghanistan is solely Taliban and Isis territory so I have zero concerns about what happens to the people there. The US and other nations poured millions into the country to assist the people who simply want to adhere to their tribal and abusive ways. So let them have it ....There's no “rescue” to that country ever again in my book.
