Fields has been average at best for a rookie. However the history of QB’s coming out of Ohio State have been busts, to mediocre at best.
Running QB’s work fine for the college game, but rarely translate to the next level.
However I believe C.J. Stroud will be a high draft pick next year, and thrive in the NFL. He is a classic pocket passer, and very accurate.

Yup. And one of the biggest reasons why is the pounding they take tends to add up quickly. RB's are built for that part of the game, QB's who also need to throw accurately, are not.
A "dual threat" QB is also at "dual risk" of hits and injuries (sacked in the pocket, tackled in space). They might be hot for a season or three...but no way one is going to last as long a Brady or Brees, let alone still be great after all those years.
They're a flash in the pan type player.

Mike Tomczak is probably the best NFL QB to come out of Ohio State, and he wasn't drafted. Always be skeptical of any OSU QB.
