Bears firings are good. Dolphins are making a mistake. He was a good coach that improved the team. They still have personnel issues but he was definitely maximizing the talent. Hopefully he lands somewhere that gets it.

That wouldn’t surprise me. Habitually mediocre teams are so addicted to the quick fix. I laughed my butt off last night when I heard Denver ownership thinks they’ll be an attractive spot for a good coach because they’re “only a QB away”. Dudes, you’ve been “only a QB away” since Elway retired.

The Local sports scribbles are the only ones still whining because they wanted Campbell fired, and Goff gone. Lol.
The team plays like their coach played. As you say a “New Culture “.
Having Spielman on the management team also adds to the culture.
Great Buckeye, and Lion.
Time will tell of course, but a fun season for sure considering the “rebuild “.

I don’t understand that move. Flores can coach and Miami had a winning record.

It will be interesting to see if now free agents, for once, will want to play in Detroit. That right there is one of the biggest reasons for their futility, players just didn’t want to play there. But I think the word is getting out that something is happening there.

Broncos fired their coach as well.

Jacksonville may want to look at Flores.

I’d take him or Kellen Moore, who is a hometown kid from Prosser, and put together the high-powered Cowboy Offense

I don’t blame them. I think Jerry Jones knows that Dan Quinn and Kellen Moore are the real reason Cowboys are in the playoffs and not Mike McCarthy

“Habitually mediocre teams are so addicted to the quick fix”.
No truer statement.
Detroit Fans / Media are famous for this mindset. Great Football fan base in Detroit / Michigan, but not the sharpest knives in the drawer as to how the game works. In Detroit / Michigan their are only 3 guys on the team vs 22. The Q.B. Receiver, Running back. :)

Musical Chairs for Mediocre Coaches and Executives.
Rick Spielman spent 6 seasons with the Dolphins, was promoted twice, and all his jobs were related to evaluating and choosing player personnel.
He inherited an above average team and made the play offs twice as a Wild Card with 11-5 teams.
His W/L for his last four seasons was 32-32 with no Play Offs.
Bottom Line...
Too many teams, too many games, not enough really good players, coaches, and executives.

Was there yesterday, present for all three wins. Season ticket holder. DC has this team fighting, scratching, clawing every play. Message to visiting teams, “Welcome to Detroit, watch your kneecaps!”

Was there for all three wins. My seats are in section 103, row 20. Lions side. Amon Ra St. Brown TD catch to beat Minny on the last play was right in front of me. Crowd went nucking futz!

Nice seats.
My Dad had season tickets during the Monte Clark years. The Silverdome. The loudest venue I have ever been to next to a good match up at The Horseshoe.

I think we finally have a good coach in Dan Campbell. How many times has that been said in the past 25 years? Since 1996 the lions have had approx. 12 head coaches. Only two of them had winning records, Gary Moeller who was 4-3 and Jim Caldwell who was 36-28.
While it may be insignificant, Sunday's win did cost them the 1st pick in the draft.
I haven't been a Lions fan for many years and won't be until the team gets new owners.....
