Supreme Court buffoonery and Pelosi psychodrama this week.
Two important cases came before the Supreme Court this week, and in Congress the Nancy Pelosi Reichstag Fire Revisited was being played out. In both cases these bodies deserved our disrespect for their violation of established norms and display of ignorance.

Not far from the hallowed halls of the Supreme Court, Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her pals are trying yet again to make more of the January 6 riot than facts would warrant. She persuaded the cast of Hamilton to sing about democracy, inspiring the Wall Street Journal’s James Freemen to dub this “Capitol Riot: The Musical!”
Readers probably don’t recall a 2002 congressional effort to mark the first anniversary of 9/11 with a catchy musical number from a Broadway smash hit. And perhaps that says it all about the Democrats’ Thursday production to mark one year since the Capitol riot of 2021. Two decades ago, no one had to sell the idea that America had suffered a devastating attack. Today the political appetites of incumbent Democrats require pretending that last year’s riot was an insurrection.

I am hoping for 5-4’s against...the 3 dangfool lefties and Roberts, more worried about the fallout than the plain words of the law.
Barret and Kavanaugh are wild cards tho...They seem to be easily cowed by Roberts.
Kamala Harris and the Dem hit squads have spent the last 30 years attacking the United States as racist, oppressive, homophobic, etc.......decrying it’s creation by “evil religious white men” solely to oppress anyone who was unwhite.
But on Jan 6, she, and the Party of Never Miss a Political Opportunity, suddenly “saw the light.”
The knee-jerkers crassly played the “give a damn card.”

Too bad they don’t govern as if they believed all that.

Pelosi is clearly pretending that the video is live.
The Hamilton Performance was as contrived and orchestrated as the whole January 6 incursion.
If it would be 5-4, Roberts will flip to the Conservative side to make it 6-3, just so HE gets to write the majority decision.
Otherwise Clarence Thomas, as most senior justice on that side, would be writing it.

It’s in the cards: 5-4 FOR the mandates, because this bs will and needs to come to a head asap.
1) We better wake up and realize that these nine people are, nevertheless, people. They have flaws and biases just like the rest of us. When those flaws or biases weigh in on a decision that the high court is about to make, it is proper for that justice recuse themself! The biases in these two cases are glaring.
2)The Jan 6 protest and the intrusion on the capital, as well as the 2020 election, should be examined by a grand jury of ordinary citizens NOT by those who possibly perpetrated the event! That's like letting the fox do chicken head counts each day!
Possible. Judge Thomas has written some brilliant minority opinions that make the rest of them look like idiots. He is a quiet man of deep intellect.
If you stripped the FBI agents and Antifa out of the crowd, it would have been a group of flag-waving tourists, visiting the Capital.

I hate to agree but have to. She has been a huge disappointment and has turned into John Roberts sock puppet.
Have you ever heard of an insurrection that ended by having police ask “Will you all please leave now?”
