The 3rd wave feminist takeover of women’s issues including health means that way too much emphasis was spent on preventing pregnancy, terminating pregnancy, and promoting sexual indiscretion by way of STD monitoring…aka making us more like men. And so very little development still on a whole host of other complex diseases like endometriosis. We also have a dismal maternal mortality rate for such a rich country. We need to honor the beauty and capacity of women to bear and bring forth new life in general. And this would help all women’s overall health, not just mothers.
