...Things, people, and “facts” just don’t make sense, making us vulnerable and severing the connection to community, both close to home and in the larger sense.

I had that issue way back in High School. 'Social Studies' as they called it in California Public schools, made absolutely no sense to me. Then I read Milton Friedman's book 'Free To Choose' and suddenly the subject of economics and politics crystalized for me. The inbred media liars have had a difficult time fooling me since then.

As more people have their personal ah-ha moments concerning Covid, the ability to control through fear will become more tenuous. How will our betters handle it? Will they give up and move on to something else or double down?
