Yes, January 6th is my birthday ... a day in which my family has always celebrated along with Epiphany ...

... but all that has changed now. From this year onward my birthday, January 6th, shall forever be known as: "Deplorable Insurrection Day"

On a more somber note .. January 6th 2011 is when my Dad passed away at age 85 ... Dad was a WWII veteran, US Navy serving in the Pacific as Radioman First Class on an LCS ship (landing craft support), seeing action at Leyte Gulf and Okinawa, as well as brief service as part of the occupation of Japan afterwards.

God Bless my Dad in doing his small part in helping preserve the freedoms that we enjoy today, (and sometimes we take for granted), as well as God Bless all American personnel in that terrible conflict for same ... God Bless America :)
