Started noticing symptoms of covid the day before Thanksgiving. Lost sense of smell and taste. Weird thing was, I could not taste any flavors, but if something was sweet, it was a sickly sweet sensation or if something had salt in it, I couldn’t taste the flavor, but it was too salty to eat. The sense of smell is still off, but the sense of taste is coming back. I am a coffee lover and coffee tasted bland and flat. It is finally starting to taste SOMEWHAT good to me again.
At 54 years old I’ve had many maladies, allergies, and other respiratory issues all of my life. This is different than anything I’ve ever experienced. Just sayin’.
Update… only 3 days to regain sense of smell
