the American companies should have put their foot down in the early 80’s, when the U.A.W. were making ridiculous demands...not so much about money, but about absurd work rules...example, not sure now, but at one point, if you wanted, you can take your vacation time ONE DAY AT A TIME!!...add to the 48 paid days off they already have...thats chaos..no company can function like that.

I have a 2015 F-150 and will never buy another new Ford truck, ever. The thing is all fluff and no truck.

I am curious as to what you refer and what you consider a ‘truck’.

I bought an F-150 because I was curious how an aluminum body would hold up. It gets fairly good gas mileage (21 -22mph highway) and the body has held up to farm use, especially chemicals. However, all the electronic crap is a royal pain.

It's been back to the dealership a number of times for the service engine indicator - each time because of a false indication rather than an actual problem. Dust plays havoc with the electronic circuits, resulting in the cruise control only working sporadically, the various displays not working, and the like.

Most recently, I had to replace all the original lug bolts because the originals designed by Ford corroded and deformed so much that I couldn't get a wrench on them.

How much weight did Ford save going with the two-metal lugnuts instead of talk steel?

Tesla will kill GM dead. GM lacks the will and the technology to resist the Toyota/Tesla onslaught that is upon us.

GM has only 14% US market share last year.

Xi is killing capitalism in China. GM will have to leave thereby losing half of the revenue stream.

The thieving UAW bastards are getting their comeuppance

2015. I’m sure they designed the lug bolts to be pretty. How could Ford possibly forsee that someone would drive one of their trucks on a dirt or salty road?

I left GM for Toyota years ago. I will never go back to GM.
