I knew a guy who joined the welder apprenticeship program in the company I used to work for. He was a lawyer. A bona fide, J.D. degreed, bar admitted, formerly practicing lawyer. I saw his J.D. diploma. He had gotten divorced and had to pay alimony based on his income. He said he was going to pay her as little as he possibly could and still support himself.

It's not just a meme: A few guys put pictures of themselves and their new wives or girlfriends on their alimony checks sent to their ex-wives:

Yes. I know a guy who had a wife and 4 kids. He had a great job as a consultant and could make his own hours. He was deeply loved.

He was a closet alcoholic and left his family for the bottle. Found a night security job paid his wife 680 per month child support. Took years for them to fully break up.

Ruined the family and hurt the kids deeply.

Yeah she really made out.
