The Little Rock police chief will be put on leave after he shot at an armed woman, the city’s mayor announced Saturday.
“On New Year’s Eve, Little Rock Police Chief Keith Humphrey initiated an all-hands-on-deck approach to patrol, just as he’s done in the past, and required command staff to patrol the city. While patrolling, Chief Humphrey saw a disturbance that, unfortunately, led to a shooting,” he said in a statement. “Chief Humphrey also fired his weapon at the suspected shooter, as is customary practice in an officer-involved shooting, he has been put on administrative leave.”

Amazing or perhaps I misread it?
Other than their clickbait headline, it sounds like a routine good shoot.
unprecidented? Ny post?
Sounds completely routine to me.

Help me out here.
Please show me another large city Chief out on a night patrol?
And even more unusual he fired his weapon???
Somehow I missed those events?
Called “leading from the front,” something I’d expect a dumb grunt to respect. Every good boss I’ve ever had made it a point to do everything the lowest paid employee had to do. He wouldn’t ask you to do anything he wouldn’t do.
The outrage would be if there was no investigation.

right. I thought Chief was a PR adminstrative desk job.
my bet is there is more to this story.
Chief got caught trying to hire his girlfriend into an $80k year do nothing job.
plus chief was hand picked by LR unpopular mayor.
something smells here.
will watch with interest to see what shakes out of this mess.

Do you live in the area?
In today’s world, anyone with an internet connection can and do post anything imageable and a great deal that I find unimaginable.
