I was at the doctors office about 3 years ago, and The View was on tv in the waiting room. When I finally saw the doctor, I told him I almost put the coat rack through his tv screen. He laughed.
LOL. Say, this doctors last name wouldnt be “Mengele” would it? Why would he torture his patients like that?
I totally agree. In all seriousness, had that been me, I would have refused to have my blood pressure taken, since I'm sure it would have been through the roof.
Years ago, I went to a doctors office that had some "Fish TV" show on, basically an aquarium on the screen, with quiet acoustic guitar music. It was wonderful for de-stressing from driving and working and whatnot, prior to being tested and examined. If only more doctors would recognize the value of meditative visuals and gentle music.
In waiting rooms (doctors and otherwise, even my mechanic's shop) if the TV is on with news or a talk show, I request that it be turned off, or at least mute the audio and I sit where I can't see it. TV socio-politics is poison to the soul, regardless of position, and has no place in a "healing" environment.
