Madville of DU actually posted this, which I think is a light beam into the darkness:

There is a very vocal minority here that has developed an alternate reality where they believe all the unvaccinated are Trump supporting rednecks.

The reality is that in places like here in FL, the least vaccinated population is Black people, with around 55% vaccinated. Are they really suggesting that, say here in Jacksonville where there is a large Black population, that the hospitals refuse the unvaccinated ones service by the hundreds or thousands? And also remember that Black people are disproportionately afflicted with COVID risk factors such as obesity, heart disease, diabetes, etc.

This could have been me posting about Alabama...

I’d be interested in the responses.

Did the mod push the “maybe you belong over at FreeRepublic?” button yet.

That was always a theme with me in my experience and my comments were far less direct.

The arrival of COVID-19 has brought back many ideas that many of us thought had been driven into extinction. But fear and a desire for control, and the very nature of many leftists have resulted in things like vaccine passports to enter restaurants. That is just as effective at segregating the restaurants as the rules of early 1960s Georgia.

It is amazing to see young people endorsing segregation again. I wonder if those young New Yorkers ever realize that their support for keeping their restaurants "pure" by checking for vaccine passports is the same thinking that segregationalists in the 1950s had when they segregated their restaurants in the south.

Hearing the arguments made by the same supposed liberals that medical care should be denied to some people is very sad. That's another bad idea from the past coming back.
