That's genius right there.

How does one find an Apple Air Tag on their vehicle?

Your iPhone will warn you if there is a location trackable Apple device that is following you that you don’t have registered. If you are an android user, prepare to lose your gear to an Apple-savvy thief!

Good question. People have a legitimate interest in knowing when they are being tracked. I doubt apple would help with this, but someone will build a device which detects the RF signature of these things and let you know if one is following you around.

The air tag can only communicate via blue tooth with a range of about 10 feet. It has to relay thru a nearby Apple phone. The air tag doesn’t even have its own GPS, but it tells the nearby Apple phone to give out the GPS location of the cell phone.

This is a seriously growing problem….the thieves use these to track high-end vehicles to their driveways and steal them later (or sometimes mug the owners when they get out).

Check out IPhone info to learn how to find an Apple device that is not registered to you (it’s usually looking for a connection). Air Tag is an Apple device and Find my IPhone is a miracle! Also, I think these are bluetooth devices and any phone with bluetooth can find something that is looking for a connection. If you don’t recognize it, check under your car…
