Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene suggests a ‘national divorce’ between red and blue states

Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene renewed calls for a “national divorce” between red and blue states, arguing that Americans who move to conservative states from California and New York should have a “cooling off” period before being allowed to vote.

...“All possible in a National Divorce scenario,” Greene wrote. “After Democrat voters and big donors ruin a state like California, you would think it wise to stop them from doing it to another great state like Florida. Brainwashed people that move from CA and NY really need a cooling off period.”

A lot of “Red” people live in blue states. I am 7th generation Oregonian, my ancestors were some of the original settlers here. It once was a very conservative state, as are the majority of counties. The ONLY blue in Oregon, is Portland, Salem, Eugene, and growing bluer in Bend. So it’s very possible the people fleeing the blue states and counties, are very conservative.

I will remain here, in rural Oregon, and fight for our state. Many are fighting, but hard to fight against mail in voting and Kate Brown. We’re not ALL bad in the blue states!! And we sure the heck didn’t ALL vote for this crap!!

Map shows how counties in Georgia and Pennsylvania voted in the 2020 general election. President-elect Joe Biden won both of these states over President Donald Trump.

Sample issue of what a "divorce" would look like and illustrating the urban rural divide.

GA is an interesting case.

The cluster of counties at the top of the state is the ATL metro area. Majority black....but with a LOT of liberal whites.

The two counties by the east coast: majority black

The counties in the southwest part of the state: majority black

Same as those toward the south carolina border.

It looks a lot like the governor's race where Abrams turned out the black vote in large numbers.

So the divorce would be more than a rural/urban divide in GA. That's part of the narrative...but ethnicity would potentially come into play.

Once you get outside of the ATL area....it's pretty much rural in the rest of the state.

I would like to see the east side of Oregon become part of Greater Idaho, but not sure they want us. Wish we could just eliminate the blue part from our state!

Easy answer. Their favored shitholes wouldn’t tolerate their cheap shit for 5 minutes. They would be dealt with in a very barbaric and harsh manner and they know it.

Because so few of those cute little people there don’t speak english! We’ll just import some of them instead and teach them how to vote and clean up our kids and pets crap...

I’ll never forget the Afghani Satellite TV repair man I met 4 years ago. Who was a Medical Doctor in his own country and spoke better english than a lot of the folks that accost me in Downtown Dallas regularly.

I have been thinking this as well. The beauty of global communism is you don’t have to fool with walls, your talent cant flee anywhere! And that’s always been the problem, the people with the ability always leave!

Finally, the dream can work!

You are ‘spot on’! Just look at Nashville, Memphis, Chattanooga, and Knoxville in Tennessee.

The big Democrat cities cut funding to emergency services so they can hand out more welfare money to their voters.

Then, they scream to the federal government that they need federal dollars to pay for their emergency services.

This way, they tax middle America to fund the big Democrat cities.

Don’t you just love buying votes for Democrats?

I agree, but it should be by counties, not states.

Yeah, and the left keeps a bunch of it’s libtards in our colleges. I have always wondered how a separation would work.

They would have most of the ports too.

I have always been an advocate for a five-year moratorium, but ten years works for me...

Dude, it's about the naval base there. (Of which th elocals are still deservedly proud)

And Dornan was right about the B-1. It is a fine plane, still being flown effectively.

Though I did get a kick out of Fritz Hollings saying that “Alan Cranston wants to use the B-1 bomber to deliver the Nuclear Freeze.”
