But if HCWs were going 9 months on a single dose and not being infected, there must have been some sort of protection still active at 9 months, right?

Speaking from personal experience, having had the CHINA VIRUS early on in 2020, and then getting the J&J Shot in April of 2021, I still have the antibodies present. I'm being tracked as part of a study related to people with genetic immuno-deficiencies who are on Humira for them. I submit to a blood test every two months to track my antibodies. My last test, 1.5 months ago showed I still have high antibodies. My next test is in 2 weeks.

As of my last test and visit with my specialist, no 'booster' is needed. The only conclusion I can come to is that the antibodies developed having had the CHINA VIRUS are durable and long lasting. At least they are for me.

I’m in the same position, but I opted not to participate in the study. Also, I DC’d Humira (it wasn’t getting me to where my rheum wanted me to be), failed infusions and am on Taltz waiting impatiently to fail it in another month or two so I can move on to something else that hopefully works for me. The last year has sucked with regard to my PSA/AS related health issues. I’ve been going everywhere unmasked, been indoors among large groups of people daily, no real COVID related issues for about two years.
