San Francisco today announced they are mandating "boosters" for large events beginning February 1 -- supposedly long past the time "Omicron" will have peaked. Nonetheless, a 16-year-old will be required to "boost" in order to go to a basketball game. Complete insanity

Why just 1 booster? Why not 10? 50?
Do these large events include smash ‘n grab mobs? Just asking.
This is complete insanity.
People are different! Some need boosters at infiniteum, some do not need jab at all (If they had some exposure).
I was told to check for the Covid antibody. (There is a simple test for it!)
Some people have a lot of them, some have little, even after vaccinations. Apparently, that’s the best thing to do. If you have a lot of them, just forget boosters etc. If you do not have enough, you should consider vaccine and maybe even booster.
They recommend testing for antibodies like every 6 months.
That seems to be the recent nonpolitical covid science. All doctors I have talked to seem to endorse it, but I have not heard Faucci or media even mentioning this!
That again, gives me a real question about our “scientist” in charge.
Bottom line - if they really want to “follow the science” maybe they should require recent (less than 6 months) antibody test results, instead of vaccination certificates. That still would be massive and unconstitutional, but at least somewhat scientific!
Well, as long as it is only that one 16-year-old, I suppose that we can look the other way.
Now, if they were requiring all 16-year-olds to "boost"...
Regards,
What actual evidence is there that some people need boosters ad infinitum?
That is like asserting that some people need leeches ad infinitum (because of, e.g., an "imbalance of their bodily humours").
Regards,
how about 3 shots a year?
30 Dec: Guardian Australia: Up to three Covid jabs a year could be needed for protection, data suggests
UK analysis indicates Pfizer and Moderna boosters less effective against Omicron than Delta variant and appear to drop away further after nine weeks
by Peter Hannam
The analysis included 147,597 Delta and 68,489 Omicron cases in the UK. The agency stressed the “results should be interpreted with caution due to the low counts and the possible biases related to the populations with highest exposure to Omicron (including travellers and their close contacts) which cannot fully be accounted for”...
Jaya Dantas, a professor of international health at Curtin University, said it was still early days for the understanding of the efficacy of the vaccinations but “it appears that there might be a need for regular boosters”.
“You might need boosters, say maybe two a year or three a year,” Dantas said, with elderly people more likely to be in line for a triple annual dose...

It’s the city leaders version of smash and grab. Both designed to drive away business and further depress the area. Control is the mo.
“Nonetheless, a 16-year-old will be required to “boost” in order to go to a basketball game.”
What basketball game is in SF?...
lol. Love it!! Great question!
Do they have to “boost” to drop a deuce on the lobby floor?
Dont live there. Also Michael Tracey is a smarmy libtard who worked for TIME. After it went out of print.
“What basketball game is in SF?”
Golden State Warriors. No Russian Roulette shot, no ability to see in person vaccinated Steph Curry shooting unguarded threes. Oh the thrill!(Sarcasm)
Why wait until Feb 1st?
If it’s so big a deal why not IMMEDIATELY?.....................
Gotcha. I thought they were somewhere else in CA.
Thanks
Well, in Israel, they are starting round four! Who know where it ends!
I met somebody who had kidney transplant a while ago. After full vaccination, he had his antibody tested and NOTHING!
I guess he could try booster? And maybe more???
Somebody else I know got covid, them got full vaccination and he still had pretty low antibodies! So he go booster a top of it.
What I am trying to say, that people after getting Covid and/or vaccination react differently. Some may need boosters, maybe even often??? Some may not need them ever!
Requiring everybody to get the same vaccination doses is absolutely wrong for many reasons. Even if you do like vaccines, you should get them when you need them
