How is cleanup with no drain?

One thing I like about grilling is the bacon grease goes into a holder I can pour off into a container. Looks like you have to wipe the entire drawer.

My big question with all of that greasy steam and splatter is, how is it cleaning the underside of the top of the unit. Looks like it would be a pain.

We keep a foil-covered soup can in the freezer to pour in leftover cooking grease. I simply pour the liquid grease from the air fryer basket into the can and put it back into the freezer. Then I wipe out the basket and grill with paper towels and dispose of them. I do that with any food the renders grease or any cooking oil to keep our pipes clean. Finally, after wiping things off, I clean things with warm water and Ivory dish soap. The no-stick coating in the air fryer is quite good.

Out of curiosity, I just looked at the heating element above the basket for the first time. I wanted to see if it needed cleaning and how to clean it. It is just an electric stove spiral heating element with the convection fan above it. I can't believe how clean it is! This is after cooking two dishes, the bacon and the salmon...

Exactly!

How else are you supposed to make the cream gravy?

“How is cleanup with no drain?”

Piece of cake. There’s about a half-inch gap between the grilling tray and the bottom of the basket, so grease and fats drain off and accumulate in the bottom. Pour out the grease, wipe it out with paper towels and clean in the sink with dish soap.
