True. The collapsing players are the evidence, regardless of what the final explanation is.

If there is indeed a significant increase in these incidents, then the vaccines would be one of the possible explanations. Someone posted a chart a few days ago supposedly from some worldwide soccer group which showed a steep rise in such incidents. Does Reuters get into the actual numbers of these incidents?

I wouldn’t trust Reuters to fact check something like this. Saying that it is not a fact because there is no evidence, is misleading. It doesn’t mean it’s not happening and shouldn’t be studied. Adverse events are investigated even when there isn’t a clear causative link. It has to be investigated.
