Please note that what follows is NOT intended to in any way excuse this woman’s bad conduct. Still, I think it is notable that in all of the many threads on this, it has not been pointed out that the confrontation with the old man was started by the old man. He heard the woman comparing herself (absurdly) to Rosa Parks and decided to insert himself in the situation to provide her with a history lesson. Again, for those who missed my initial disclaimer, this does not excuse her. I only note it because I have found in life that those who insert themselves in other people’s arguments often end up getting a response that is more intense then they were counting on. OTOH, this is how society polices itself. Food for thought.

I had brought up in another thread on the subject that they both could have acted with some restraint. (She didn't spit on him or punch him until he called her a "b!tch".)

My post wasn't well-received.

Yeah, I noted how the story excised the part about the man opening his mouth. It does not excuse her getting disruptive & physical. Could just be that the editor was streamlining the story, or they just wanted to focus on her actions. But you can bet that her lawyer will play that excuse in court.
