Indonesian authorities are attempting to send the group back after providing supplies, clothes and fuel, as well as a technician to fix their damaged boat.
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, navy official Dian Suryansyah said Rohingya were not Indonesian citizens and the army could not “simply bring them in as refugees”.
“This is in line with government policy,” he added.
The wooden boat was first sighted two days ago, stranded about 70 nautical miles (130km) off the Indonesian coast, according to a local navy commander.

Indonesia is a relatively peaceful society. Why would they want a boat full of terrorists there?
If they can make it to California they will be allowed in the USA.

The Rohingya are a troublesome bunch. Like the Palestinians, even their fellow Muslims’ nations want nothing to do with them . . . well, except for their PR value.
Of course Biden will take them in.
Moslem countries routinely reject Moslem refugees. Why? Because thier purpose in life is to spread Islam . Taking them in ends an opportunity to spread the mind virus.

Rohingya refugees have sued the social media giant Facebook for $150bn over claims the social network is failing to stem hate speech on its platform, exacerbating violence against the vulnerable Myanmar minority.
